It's definitely a character from Rance Quest. It took me a while to check it, but I'm sure of it.

No, you're definitely right, the author's description says so explicitly. It's just that the characters appear to be almost identical.

Wouldn't be the first time. They pretty much just went and put KOS-MOS in Sengoku Rance, after all.
