'Tis true. The BG and GiantITP communities can be a good source of wisdom. And I've seen similar insight and intellect here.

I am actually tempted to put the Truth Tag just because of the quote "What if there is a meaning behind a loss?"

But since no one believes in him anymore, doesn't that mean that he'll likely end up in Gensokyo sooner or later?

D: I can only hope he and Jack Chick end on some western version of Gensokyo.

Kaguya pretty much explained "Demon Souls". A game that could pretty much drive anyone to tears of how hard it is. Yet really...think it is refreshing as too many games make gamers too soft and weak.

Rather than NEETy stuff, I found that the quote pretty justifies why hardcore gamers never quit.

Satisfaction is something that's truly to be savored, not victory.

"Touhou" in a nutshell. You try many, many times, you never give up, and when you finally win the game, you feel like you can win against the whole planet at once.

But, more than likely, if you are a hardcore gamer, you are going to be extremely angry.

Unless you have the misfortune to play EoSD as your first Touhou game. Then you try many, many times, you never give up, and when you finally beat Sakuya, the game suddenly declares that none of your perseverance counts because you committed the heinous crime of thinking you'd play on the difficulty level best suited to your status as a beginner. Then you have to buy a new monitor to replace the one you destroyed by throwing a keyboard at it.

You have some serious anger issues.
(I only broke the keyboard when Yuyuko's last spell killed me a hair away from my first 1cc.)

I remember when I emulated Ghouls'n'Ghosts. Even with the quicksave/quickload feature, I still had many difficulties to reach the final boss. And then, that thing came: "Lol, restart the game, grab that stuff, and do the whole thing again, LOL PWN!".

That day, my keyboard flew through the window.
TL;DR: same happened in Mountain of Faith too. You finish the game in Easy? You have a bad end.

You think ESoD is bad because of the easy mode joke?

Play Nier. You will hate Square Enix for the rest of your life. And if you all ready do, you will contemplate arson.

I'm just playing EoSD as my first Touhou. The dialogue is so hilarious that I couldn't get angry at all when I got the "Bad end".

I'm actually glad I did it first, if I was on Normal I'd miss it and I like to see all there's is to see in a game.

EoSD was my first game, too. I actually killed Remilia at one point, no bombs, last life, only to get hit in the gap between her blowing up and the bullets clearing out, denying me the 1cc. I was so angry that I didn't realize how epic that would've been as a replay and didn't save it. :(

Got my first 1cc four hours later with four lives left. :\ I'm not a consistent player.

Can't be as funny as IWBTG's proposed Easy Mode. The game starts, and just kills you straight away to save you the trouble.

As Rage Quit shows, you don't play IWTBTG. You cut yourself with it.

The game-makers and generations of players. Their souls reside within it.
Shut up. Literal pronunciation, in katakana English.
But isn't gaming all about winning...?
    A Gamer's Soul
This game is filled with the blood, sweat and tears of many.
And you call it a crappy game just because you can't beat it...?
What if there is a meaning behind a loss? - Kaguya
    What was that?
I think there will be something interesting tomorrow.
    Until then, immature vampire.
