Uh, no, the sigil of Baphoment version (used here) of the pentagram has been one of the symbols for Satanism for much, much longer than the 1960's. One of the best known illustrations was in the book La Clef de la Magie Noire which was published around 1896/1897.

In East, pentagrams represent the five elements: Fire, Water, Wind, Wood and Metal.
AND, that´s a rotating pentagram, just for show. Or not.
