makes sense look at cirno. the yama said if she get stronger she would no longer be a fairy which means you get a former ice fairy that been used as a cannon fodder thats as strong as yuukka which would explain why yuuka has killed so many people.

Yuuka: I was told I could be whatever I wanted. So I became a flower youkai.

I like the idea of Cirno eventually becoming some kinda Ice Youkai or something, surpassing her Fairy born identity or something. Although that would be giving up immortality I suppose.

Actually Sikieiki Yamaxanadu said in Phantasmagoria of Flower view, that Cirno is very strong, almost too strong to be a fairy and is very close to evolving into a Youkai. Lf her power to chill air gets any more effective she'd turn into an Ice Youkai, probably another Yuki Onna, like Letty.

You are now aware that there is a Cirno popping up every spring and when winter comes they evolve Letty come spring.
