もう店先でチョコレートが並んでいる時期で・・・

・・・もうバレンタインかぁ・・・。あの人に何をあげようかな・・・。・・・出来れば、自分で作った物をあげたいけど、私、チョコアレルギーだし・・・。市販じゃ・・・、嫌だな・・・。きっと、市販の方が美味しいのだろうけど、私の手で作ったものを食べて貰いたいし・・・それに、美味しいって・・・、言って貰いって、褒めてくれればいいなぁ・・・。うん・・・、そうだよね。市販のもの食べて美味しいって言われても嬉しくないもんね。でも・・・、私、作れないし・・・。どうしよう・・・。どうしようかな・・・。どうすれば、あの人、喜んでくれるかな・・・・・・？。

I've got a strange feeling about this.

artist saying they enjoy valentine day, and really wish they could eat some of that delicious looking chocolate... but they have an allergy...

If this is true, then this artist is now one of my favourites. Since I also have a chocolate allergy.

bah, I thought it was the artist talking. But yeah, there's not actual indication that it is the artist instead of Momiji... or if it was Momiji in the little piece of dialog that was provided

Anyone else read those chocolate wrappers as "NCZ" instead of "ZUN" at first?

To make more sense out of it, I don't think the artist is making up an allergy for Momiji. A lot of animals actually get very ill if they eat chocolate. The artist probably just extended that allergy to her body as a whole, hence why handling it during the making process would be a problem.
