I think some of us are waiting for this in the anime. I supposed the largest hint in the anime is in episode three when Yuu mentions that Mato has Yomi instead of a crush on some boy and Mato gets all defensive.

But I do agree with you that I'm also waiting for canonical yuri to kick in sometime soon, hopefully.
Then again, I can see this heading for the Puella Magi route where everybody x everybody, sad face.
