Queen's Blade can be good and the characters can recieve good developement, but the pervy idiocy is often overdone. Nyx is a good example of a character design gone wrong when animated, even forcing monster spooge down her throat on a frequent basis and the tentacle rape...
On the other hand, characters can come into their own after awhile. The swamp bitches, especially Melona, were really annoying when they were first introduced, but through the second season and OVAs their portrayal improved and they actually recieved some developement.
In Siggy's OVA, she came off as being dumb, when I would like an Inquistor character to be more cunning and at least a little sinister. Rooting out heretics isn't very fun when they make statements to your face concerning pacts with the devil. Siggy wasn't the least bit intimidating and the holy poses were awful as usual, only this time we didn't have the loveable goofball Nanael softening the blow.
Ymir was great in the OVA, using every oppurtunity to make a (somewhat) honest buck, even going so far as to seemingly undermine her traveling companion's chances of survival, but she still helped Siggy in her own way. I do cringe at the thought of what Rebellion has in store for her though, since I've seen the Artbooks and I have read the story synoposis and there's quite a bit of character derailment.
