And yes, based off real-life events, but hardly "CURRENT events", as the Luna rockets were launched in 1959.

Does that mean we delete pics that become outdated in the 'current events' pool?

The idea of the pool is similar to the 'Wow, That was Fast' pool, only the scope is real life news, not fictional related stuffs (fanart of new character/outfit, things like that).

So nope, the image won't be deleted and it will stay once it is there.
