Can we have someone check the tags here? I have no idea who these characters are. I *think* its supposed to be Marisa and Sanae since there's another of Reimu and Sakuya but I honestly have no clue...
There's something very disturbing about a guy who goes through the trouble of making a detailed background of Touhou children of his favorite characters, making a cute little adventure for them to go through, and then drawing the children he created as demons with clit and nipple piercings...
It's like running across Snoopy porn... made by Charles Schultz.

What you consider to be corruption, I think of as more of an awakening. A delving into shadowy and forbidden spaces that doesn't have to be destructive or irreversible. Woman, Child, Angel, Demon, they are but masks, facets of our spirits.
Edit: And let's not forget that we're dealing with the unnatural offspring of witches and vampires. They might simply have taken Koakuma's advice on dressing for a party.
Look at this or any work of corruption and tell me that there's any scrap left of the person's original mind. You can't. All the flowery metaphors and phrases in the world won't change that fact that all their former desires, dreams, and personalities have been stamped out and overwritten by some improbable drug or demonic curse. Maybe it doesn't have to be destructive or irreversible, but 99% of the time it is.
In saying that their former selves are gone, you must be assuming that, in spite of their lineage, they were entirely chaste and meek before this dreadful "change" took place. To my eyes, their appearance in this picture is consciously, playfully provocative, much like post #825092. If you really believe that mind rape is a prerequisite for any kind of lewd behavior, then there are lots of surprises in store for you, even outside of Gensokyo.
It may not be a prerequisite, but with corruption images, it typically is. He's not talking about every single lewd behavior known to man, just corruption. More often than not, mind breaking occurs before the change with corruption works.
I've never watched what you linked to, but aren't they already demons/whatever they're called in that compared to Reimu who originally was human?
Edit: Ignore that last part about Reimu I said since I guess these are dark personas of "what if" kids.
I didn't think he'd go this far... but he really has a fondness for this sort of thing. Honestly it'd take something (I can't put it into words) to create something cute and pure like touhou kids and then basically defile them.
I see this sort of thing as a sort of counteracting of touhou characters' charm. If I wanted ultra-shanky girls with absurd amounts of piercings, I'm sure I'd find some western porn with it within an hour or two.
But that's it for my opinion, I'll leave the fans to enjoy this.

The thing is, it's an overwriting of personality, not an "awakening". It's an erasing of their humanity to replace it with something else. It's not terribly different from a zombie curse - the real person is gone, and only something that looks like it remains.
Sure, they could have been promiscuous or chaste before, but that doesn't matter when they're overwritten.
I'm well aware that there are many artists who are into the purity-defilement thing. In this case, I still think it's more about playing around with characters and their personas. More akin to project.c.k.'s reimaginings than xration's horror shows. No-one had to overwrite Evil Spock's personality to make him grow a beard. Unless someone can provide clear evidence of the artist's intentions (translations of post #879147 and post #879149 may shed some light), this will remain a matter of interpretation. And my interpretation is sexier.

This is what it seems like compared to this, the succubus Aya picture or even Sanae on a snake picture in this pool is very tame compared to this guy's stuff.
Also IIRC Evil Spock was an alternate universe one where good was evil and evil was good. And the difference between an "face-heel turn" and being overwritten is the matter of previous personality. In regards to this guy's works, I can't seem to find signs of the girls' previous personalities.
A case of a dark awakening would be Prier from La Pucelle, her outfit changed and she grew horns and wings, but she's still the same self-centered short tempered bombshell she always was.
Then it's not so much a dark awakening as a grow-it-yourself Halloween costume, is it? Anyway, why not think of the personas in pool:2193 as alternate universe versions, just like Mr. Die Soon in Poverty? It's a perfectly plausible explanation that lets the sunny nice girls and the lusty wenches coexist peacefully. I can't tell you to not think this picture is disgusting, but reactions like yours often seem like a lot of unnecessary shock and grief to me.
You see no problems with creating initially innocent characters just to do this to them? This sort of thing with regular Touhous I would have just shrugged but the fact he made such characters then went about corrupting them...
