    I'm taking it as a shot by drsunshine at Shinoasa, or at the doujinshi itself, so...

    I don't understand the Shinoasa hate, or maybe it's just hate for that doujinshi. They don't care for it in general? Did the artist commit a sin for doing something that wasn't cute and fluffy as usual? Or is it because it's an erotic work, but fails at being arousing?

    Meh. It's not like George Lucas and his revisions of his previous work. I can't see how it invalidates The artist can do whatever he or she wants; your approval isn't required.

    I'm probably taking it too seriously.

    I think you're thinking too hard about it. It's more like, if Touhou characters were in a more Real World setting like ours, like the one DrSunshine has depicted so far, then this would be their reactions of seeing erotic comics of themselves.
