    Well, there are cases of human beings being shot in the head but still live with the bullet in their head. And actually, living things like starfish can really regenerate themselves, or to be exact, reproduce their body to fill in the parts they lost. Can't kill them by cutting through them. Of course, if cut finely, they are pretty much dead as anything else.
