When looking at panel two, I can't help but hear Jim Ross yelling "Stunner! Stunner! Stunner!"

So dei_shirou does have plans for Moriya. I was thinking about this and came up with two explanations for why the fact that he put up a poll to decide the round 2 match doesn't necessarily mean they were disposable.

1. He went on a 3 month hiatus from this strip. He may have changed his mind about how to proceed from where he left of, or he may not have had the last two nights planned out in the first place.

2. *Tinfoil hat* The poll was rigged. This would not only be appropriate for something involving pro wrestling, the poll victory would create the illusion of a multi dimensional miracle.

I'm inclined to believe 1; this strip has been going on for years. I find it hard to believe that everything was planned out from the beginning, and the only changes were working in the new Touhou characters that came out.

I could believe Sanae winning the vote as it might have been during her high point in popularity.

I would say he had a change of heart on the Moriya team during the match itself and became conflicted on who would win.

He decided to leave it to the fans to decide since he could not himself.

If you look at it team Moryia is now very much what scarlet 200% was during their match.

Awh, so that's what's the matter. I had been curious about Suwako's personality, for a whole I thought that Kanako had more to do with it, seeing as how Suwako seemed rather chipper when asking Kanako to spar, and then we don't see her til she's looking crazy, challenging Yuuka, and then this.
