My way of welcoming Christie's new looks on Dead or Alive 5,

Team Ninja has been trying to redirect Christie's character since DOA Dimension and I'm pleased to what they're doing, and then it just got serious, She looks a lot more mature, all things considered plain beautiful. (check the links above, if you haven't seen her yet)

Sure I'll miss some features, like how the eyes were big and rounded, or how her jaw line would swirl around her face and go slightly up on her chin.
Like, how there was this cute girl charm in the classic design, that I just plain fucking loved, and will be missed.
Now, the new Christie's got this cute WOMAN charm that I'm welcoming.
But it's not like they're changing agressively her fisionomy, in fact it aint more agressive than what they've done to the other characters, it's more of a mature reinterpretation of the same characters than anything else.

Besides It's not like I have to quit portraiting her as she was before DOA5.

I've had a change of heart for the past few months and came to the conclusion that despite of the DOA5 Christie looking pretty good and sexy, I would rather have had her original face being updated to the realistic style of DOA5 (instead of all the sharp lines TN added to it).

You see, as a fan, it's a simple fact. This is not the Christie I was introduced to, the formula I fell in love with was this indiferent woman with an angelical face contrasting with the concept of femme fatale and yet working around to it. To me that was a perfect balance of features, it charmed me like no other character eveer did. What TN did in DOA5 was to unbalance that delicate formula...The excessive appealing they put onto her in DOA5 despite of making the character very beautiful, imo detracts from her original unic charm, which is something I could NEVER support.

I'm convinced that the Christie of DOA5 has become more appealing on the first impression, on the other hand, it also made the character less charming on the long therm.

This is my first and last ever doa5 fanart (any upcoming fanart from Christie will be based on her designs from before DOA5). I'm only not deleting this one, because it's the only proof that at least for a momment, I did try to enjoy the different concept.
