My statement is still true, he hasn't flagged anything that is actually good. At most some are OK. And I have seen people complaining, however I cannot defend any picture he flagged either.
This one for example, while not bad, it's not good either, it's a generic byakuren picture, have seen thousands that are better all around. Brings nothing, no originality, no life, nothing. Just a bland okay quality of a generic drawing of Byakuren.
Personally danbooru has too many sub par images, we are over a million with a ton just being buried there. So I upload what I think it's actually good enough. I would like to see standards rising with the time, as people get better and there is more content out there, not lowering so we get more content... so it can get buried.
Given that none of the many, many janitors that browse this site has appealed the majority of those flags means that those images probably weren't good.
It's more a case of one user going on an absolute uploading binge (horrific memories of Mr_GT begin to resurface, but we aren't there yet) and the one user willing to step up to go through and knock down some of the subpar uploads in the seas has arrived.

That does sum it up pretty well. I'm not sure I'd have flagged everything that I have seen him flag but I haven't seen anything I'd consider appeal worthy.

Actually, the Hatate watercolor I saw was pretty obviously just stylistic clutter, not poor art quality, and almost all that artist's other works were similar. See: post #1243300
It just happened to be appealed and had people agree to take it off the delete list much faster than the ones that still have red borders because it was, in fact, clearly just a stylistic choice, not some sort of deficiency of the artist.
There were several more works marked for deletion than this, but it's just the marginal quality ones that still remain in play.
