Would be amusing to see the 'what if' scenario. I'd assume they'd become more modernised and advanced with technology, resulting in some characters not existing at all, or perhaps with there being no Gensokyo, it would literally just collapse into fantasy+reality mix, resulting in youkai existing in the real world.

Meanwhile, Youmu's hair color is switching back and forth from white and brown.

If I recall correctly, this story is set at a parallel point in time about 1000 years BP. Gensokyo wasn't sealed by the Hakurei Barrier anyway until 1885, which is quite a while in the future anyway. I wonder what Yukari's misgivings for using it now are; or alternately, what caused the real?timeline to seal Gensokyo almost 900 years after when Yukari wanted it (assuming that the timelines are parallel enough that Yukari wanted to seal Gensokyo back in 885 CE in both instances).

Really shouldn't even be her choice, considering she was trying to get Yuyuko to sacrifice herself for the "greater good" without even attempting to talk to the shrine maiden or anyone as seen earlier with the "it doesn't concern you" type of thing.

This comic was so much better when it wasn't pretentiously serious and using fanfiction characters.

Seriously, I don't know why people keep using that mugen fan character instead of making up their own Hakurei maiden character. Zun even had another non-touhou related red/white miko he drew up, yet no one uses her.

Maybe it did take 1000 years originaly for her to prepare the Barrier. Now it wold take a couple millenia to prepare another barrier.
