Her true body is a child since she can't age. To be adult she must use some kind of magic. And with those peaceful days must cost her some combat sense.
I don't think it is matters were those days peaceful. It's just she is so bored of life that she became an ordinary women. Don't know if it's so bad. + She often said appearance affects personality.
