Ryuuko's pjs look kind of small for her... I wonder, when was the last time she actually covered her midriff?
The pajamas Ryuko is wearing used to be Mako's. Mako, who is much smaller than Ryuko in every way except bust size, out-grew those pajamas, which were subsequently given to Ryuko her first night at Casa De Mankanshoku.
The only time Ryuko doesn't expose her abs is for the first half of the first episode, before she gets Senketsu. Since then, every outfit she's worn exposes her midriff (including her track suit, for some reason).

Yeah, I was completely amazed by Mako's bust size, they at the verfy least as big as Ryuuko's of not even bigger!
