Every artist can contact the site admin if (s)he wishes to have some art removed. It's note like danbooru plagiarizes and tries to hide the real artist and/or source.
Precisely. danbooru does not reproduce or manufacture anything with stolen artwork either. It is a site which catalogues artwork and links back to the original source, making no profit off of the intellectual property of artists or entertainment franchises.
They can contact the site to have all their art removed if desired, and additionally the site will associate a banned_artist tag to prevent further uploads of their works.
