    Somehow I'm reminded of Polgas from Pugad Baboy. For those unaware, he's a talking and walking dog who also adapts human behavior. Comes from a popular Comic Strip in the Philippines.

    If I remember correctly his master was a chef that took him in from the streets. He would feed Polgas whatever he cooked and suddenly he started talking. Within his neighborhood, everyone treats it normal, even is a drinking buddy to his master and a bunch of other guys. Funny enough, strangers are surprised whenever he acts human.

    Oh and he also has a crimefighting alternate persona.
