Reference to Bikini Atoll and Operation Crossroads perhaps.

They say that the inventor of the bikini wanted his creation to be explosive, so the name "bikini" was actually taken to the Bikini Atoll which was the setting for the Operation Crossroad that sank Nagato and Sakawa.
