You don't see KanColle fairies depicted as humans too often. The fact that they'll all widely accepted to be female (even though many mangas say this is purely aesthetic) would make the theory of them being the reincarnations of the former all-male crews of the ships very interesting. Especially considering the Shinto (or is it Buddhist?) "wheel of reincarnation" belief says you could be reincarnated into just about anything.
