Really? I've only ever seen Kaga being a dick in this specific series. Usually I just see her being the straight man to lolglutton Akagi, and I always assumed that the case was simply that when a series has a responsible Akagi, some manner of equivalent exchange is needed.

Kaga being a jerk to the 5th division is quite old at this point. Pretty much a running trait with her character that's been going around for a long time in more then just a few series.
That aside, Haruna being sweet and adorable as always here and Nagamon being good old Nagamon. Warms the heart I'd say. Although I'm wondering if the present Akagi has is from Haruna or is Akagi's present to her. Sweet nonetheless.
I mean, I did a search for pictures with Kaga and Zuikaku together and I saw a lot of tsundere, but not as much outright jackass of the kind on display here. I'm admittedly quite new to this fandom, so "I've never seen it before" was probably the wrong choice of words, but you'd think that if something like this was prevalent enough to merit its own pool it would be easy to find for someone deliberately looking for it.

Because it's become a 2ndary meme now that the 2 are tsundere for each other, so rather than looking at recent stuff, you might have to dig a bit deeper. Since most searches will yield more recent uploads.

My 5 cents, Akagi was preparing to be Haruna's santa and is fake sleeping now that haruna is bringing her present. hiding the present she wants to give Haruna :D.
Its the most adorable Akagi i have ever seen, this one. makes me want to take her out on a sortie

You call it 'tsundere' I just call it 'being an asshole' because very, very few of those images have any actual dere to counteract the abuse in my experience, and even if they do blushing a bit after you've abused someone doesn't really counteract the fact you just abused them. (Yeah I'm not much of a fan of tsundere in general 'it's okay to smack the shit out of someone as long as you actually like really them' isn't really a sentiment I tend to endorse)

I don’t know much about Zuikaku’s personality, but I’d like to imagine that she reacts positively to Kaga’s ‘gifts’ thus foiling the attempted bullying.
Edit: Maybe she’ll turn the tables on Kaga by sticking the sea urchins on Kaga and Nagato’s chairs before they sit down.
