I'd consider PS1 retro, but I feel PS2 just isn't "old enough" to be retro yet.
Well that's part of the "feeling old" thing, what's 'old' to you is different from what's 'old' to a younger person. PS2 though came out in March 2000, it's pretty much fifteen years old now, that's retro in my opinion.
My PS2 is pulling double the work as a DVD player. >_>
Knowing the weaknesses (at least in earlier models) in the PS2's laser carriage, this hurts my soul a bit. Hope you at least have it vertical.
I still use my PS2 to play games, though I suppose that's partially owing to not having a computer strong enough to properly emulate one and not being lucky enough to have a compatible PS3.
It's horizontal and one of the first models. I'm honestly shocked this thing doesn't belch smoke let alone work like the day I bought it.
