Erm, this is still Gensoukyou remember? That means they didn't get a prototype or its records, the thing just drifted in from the outside world. Or that's how I would want to interpret it.

Can't be. At the beginning of the doujin, they're talking about myths and youkai as if they don't exist. If that's the case, then they have to be in the outside world. Alternatively, if they are in Gensokyo after all, the complete lack of magic and youkai means that the Hakurei Barrier probably failed.

You are right, this series' Maribel Hearn/Yakumo Yukari(?) said that the forst is a way to go to Gensoukyou. Which should mean this is somehow, not inside the Hakurei Barrier anymore. But judging from title, it's a Gensoukyou of 1000 later with probably almost everything from the outside world drifted in, making it bigger and then become the reality? As far as it goes, I can only guess that much.

I changed Marisa's line (top-left most bubble) to be more readable than previously. I might have changed it beyond the original wording. If someone disagrees with my edit, feel free to change it.
