I imagined that they're already back and lounging about while we are away, waiting to hand in their expedition report and get permission to be resupplied. Much better than leaving them outside of port...

for me, i would imagine them unloading the supplies to a temporary area, get themselves cleaned a bit and rest and when the admiral goes back the usual process of inventory and addition to the stock and so on paper work happens.
