Can someone explain this mic check thing to me? I read it on Kirishima's Danbooru wiki page but I'm still kind of confused. Is mic check because she gave a "har d whack" to USS Henderson or is mic check because people aren't giving her credit for the whole "Nightmare of Solomon" and instead associating it with Yuudachi?

It's just a quirk the developers gave her. Multitudes of her lines in-game reference microphones and usually the checking of them; supposedly it has nothing to do with the historical ship.
EDIT: I realized perhaps "mic checking" isn't a universal concept; all she's supposedly doing is making sure the microphone is recording her and whatever it's attached to is playing her back properly.
