Actually it just followed any noise it detected whatsoever, as all early torpedoes and frankly most modern ones still do. At least one U-boat blew itself up when the torpedo ended up homing on the launching submarine. (It was supposed to have a minimum arming distance, but it seems like some combination of the U-boat maneuvering and the torpedoes search pattern ended up with it locking onto the launching submarine after arming)
What in the world did I mistake it for, then?Have no fear!!It can detect the sounds of the screws of Allied Ships, and home in on them!!The what!?EmptyThis Falke that I secretly ordered for Bismark-neesama.Foxer!!At this rate, won't Ro-chan head offshore!?In World War 2, Germany had already implemented an acoustic homing torpedo - the G7e Falke!!But there aren't any Allied Ships here, right!?'Falke'?The decoy apparatus that emits the same sound as Allied Ships' screws!
