I'm not too sure. Nagamon managed to convert Mutsu to her cause. There's no telling if she'll be able to do it to Yamato as well.

And I always thought that Yamato preferred them a bit more grown (Yahagi). Oh well... I can always go and fetch a few squirrels if that helps me avoid having dozens of destroyers scarred for life.
