Now that they're doing an honest remake, I wonder if they're going to handle Aerith's death differently. Considering Nomura wanted to put a lot of emphasis on making her death painful in the eys of the player originally, and succeeded so brilliantly, I can't help but think doing it the exact same way would be butchering that sentimentality.

But if they change it then the fans will be in an uproar. You know how fans are. Even the slightest change to what they consider a big fucking deal will cause them to riot. It's a bit too risky, I'll say.
