Well Venus flytraps grow flowers too... although in general you should never let a cultivated one attempt to flower, as the strain on the plant will frequently kill it.

I can't really read japanese but checking around on a varietyofdifferenthanakotoba-relatedsites and articles (with use of google translate) suggests that gerberas in general carry a meaning of hope, but the white gerbera most of all!
