Never forget that seduction is also one of the most powerful and oldest form of distractions. Wearing sexy outfits to tempt the horny idiots and have them underestimate her is also a tactic.
Fear and intimidation isn't the only way to win a battle.
Though there is some historical precedent if you want to stretch. Why some warriors, ala Lancer, would fight naked was a sort of taunt by saying the enemy was so weak that they did not require armor, or something like that.
No armor is better than being armored only at the extremities. The latter only serves to impair mobility while still leaving the center of your body (AKA the organ bag) as a fat, juicy inviting target.
