I can sort of make out the article text, but the chromatic aberration effect and slight blurring require me to make educated guesses on a few of the kanji. Let me know if it seems I'm really off the mark anywhere.

I don't know how you managed to pull off the exact appearance of the text in the translation, but it's honestly impressive. Nicely done!

It's just a background color with padding/margins set for full bleed, plus a single-direction text shadow (dual-direction for the headline). You can see it in the coding for any of the notes, if you like. Check out Hemoglobin's work in the Haevest pool; some of the note effects are phenomenal and showed me what was possible.
