    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 1885

The wind was strong enough that what I cast out, it blew right back. I gave up right away!

Reader-added tags include "Fishing up yourself", "Tera-surreal", and "Sea breeze: 'No, you don't!'"

    There's a catch to today's survey:

What do you want to fish for?
    • Nitori, using cucumbers
    • Aya, using a news exclusive
    • Reimu, using donations
    • Kosuzu, using an old book
    • Wakasagihime, using bait

Is that live bait or artificial lure?

I can't bring myself to ever go fishing (the thought of causing unnecessary pain and trauma to the fish for catch-and-release, or taking its life were I to kill and cook it for food is just too much for me to handle), but if I were to have live bait blown back right inside my shirt I think I'd be screaming like a wuss and performing a public stripshow trying to get it out.

Cheer up Kogasa-san, at least you didn't pierce your clothes/skin with the hook when that happened, unlike some poor souls :3

I've never had much appreciation for fishing myself, despite coming from a family of rednecks. Sitting out on a boat and tooting along can be very zen in it's own way, but I don't like sorting all the mess that comes with fishing.

As I understand it the point to fishing is to drink enough beer in the process that you become too drunk to fish. Any fish caught are just an added bonus.

On a windy day like that, a floater is essentially useless. Might as well have put on a heavier sinker so the reel doesn't get kicked around by the surf.

That's the fun part of deep sea fishing though. Isolated from the world, talk about shit with your best friends and catch some fish in the process.

Pretty much, yeah. And if it's a charter then they will typically be available to handle cleaning what you catch if you've arranged before hand.
