first of all guys was at best a OC, so while i sympathize i think you should remember this is the first US shipgirl and kancolle and should be happy about it as this could mean more and maybe some of those added will be classy lady designs (Except that submarine i am really hoping for a starlet mindset for her.

For the US submarine remember that during WW2 their crew was known for taking anything not bolted down and unbolting the things if given enough it.

I know that but i was referring to Redfish who became a movie and tv star for a short while.

I`d like to think Kancolle Iowa has nothing to do with Pacific Iowa.... but i guess she´s too popular not to have stories like this connected to her...

It's kind of weird looking back at these comments now. Iowa's generally well-liked by anglophone fans, possibly because the next US shipgirl in KC, Saratoga, fit Pacific-Iowa's mature, ladylike personality pretty well. It might also be because Pacific just isn't as popular as it used to be, due to KC and similar games like AL filling the desire for American shipgirls. It's a little sad, honestly.
