I'd not heard the term applied to tofu before, and not knowing this person was strictly a tofu merchant (as opposed to a general merchant) until today's newest image, I had no cause to research and find out otherwise. I'll revise things accordingly.

Well, it's more of prior knowledge of...cotton tofu, I guess. Plus, a "sheet of cotton" is counted as "一枚(ichimai)", yet here it's counted as "一丁", how tofu is counted.
