    Something I've noticed: Official art always has Iowa hanging out with Yamato, whereas it seems the vast majority of fanart has Iowa latching on to Kongou instead.

    Her lines are also Yamato centric. But with Kongou you get:

    Hueg jokes and size difference yuri
    Engrish gags
    TTK love face off
    Kongou charisma breaking
    British American relations
    Older/younger

    And if there's anything fans can't resist it's a good template.

    Official art has Iowa with Yamato instead of Kongou because they're both drawn by the same artist. Same reason you don't see Samidare and Suzukaze together with their sisters in their official art.

    Personally, I just love all of these ships! (Need more Iowa x Houshou, though.)
