[Educational manga] Studying the Pelvis with Orange Pekoe-chan

A heart-warming anatomical story using Orange Pekoe-chan as a model to learn of the keystone of the human body, the pelvis.
Knowledge of the pelvis is essential for drawing the human body, so I decided to create this for others to study while learning some myself.

    • Divided into parts for bones, ligaments, muscles, and organs
    • Assam-sama and Rosehip-san's commentary will help explain the pelvis to beginners
    • This is the "front view edition"; I am not sure if I will make a "back view edition" or "side view edition". Though admittedly knowing the structure of the pelvis from multiple angles is important.
    • I tried my best to be accurate in my drawing, naming, and explanation of everything, however my shortcomings in understanding, drawing, and honest mistakes may result in incorrect information. Please understand. If something is obviously wrong, I would appreciate if you contacted me.

One note, the ovaries and fallopian tubes should be on the near side of the hip bone (the part labeled as the "ilium" on a previous image of this set). As you can see, a woman's reproductive organs don't go nearly as far into her body as some more cartoonish artwork might suggest!

rather is it that the uterus in fact is much smaller than what a lot of artist think it would be

Also of note is that the uterus is at a 90 degree angle to the canal, which nobody seems to remember (or perhaps realize).

A: Of the female reproductive organs, the uterus is contained in the lesser pelvis and is found between the urinary bladder and the rectum. Generally, the uterus is found at a 90 degree angle to the vaginal canal pointing toward the belly, and the upper portion rests on top of the bladder.
P: There are many more organs attached to it than the illustrations you see in textbooks, aren't there.
R: You can really tell how the important parts are protected so well... The human body truly is marvelous.
A: Yes, the uterus does not simply float in the pelvis but is held in place via connections to the pelvis and its surrounding organs through various ligaments and membranes.
