you want to know something funny. in pokemon special x and y were never meant to be a couple (does not speak for the fanbase who ship them though). they saw each other more like sibling and X even once said that he saw the idea of Y being his girlfriend as disgusting. and when one girl though that she could approach him disguised as Y and greet him affectionately he almost took her head off with his pinser's pinsers if not for the helmet she was using to keep that disguise up.
