First thing that came to mind... "Can't you just fly?"
You can't fly out of the Bamboo Forest of the Lost. Literally every 2hu that goes in thinks of this aloud, and then realizes no matter how high they try to go, they don't end up going anywhere. Futo even tries this in ULiL after defeating Mokou, then Mokou tells her that she can't get out by flying, she needs someone who knows the way out already to show her, someone like Mokou. Futo then apologizes and asks Mokou to lead her out.
Simply put, there is no Up and down in the Bamboo forest. There is only an East, West, North and South. Think of it like those magical labryinths you often seen Greek Mythology. Alot of those mazes made to hold magical creatures, even ones that fly. The walls either rise up no matter how fast or how far you fly up or they literally close up to form a ceiling if you try to fly up.

That makes me realize that I haven't played as Futo in ULiL... Or Byakuren or Ichirin... Guess I'll struggle though Futo's story...
Wait... Why wouldn't Futo just burn the forest? I mean, sure she's not quite as much of a pyro as she should be, but she's certainly not above setting the place on fire.
