    とかいいつつ、この手のは海外でもよく見るので、人間の性質なのかもしれません(笑)
    もしくはこの鉱山からは硬貨が出土してたとか!

    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 2246

Despite what I say here, I see this a lot even overseas, so maybe it's just human nature! :-) Or maybe they're excavating hard currency from this mine!

You'll dig this survey a hole lot:

What would you want to come out if you dug into the ground?

Reimu should switch out the shrine donation box for a pond.

Perhaps it's an Asian thing we do for prayers and good luck?

Heck, finding the Hashmal is probably safer than digging up the Turn A...

How's it different from a Wishing Well in Europe ? A place for sacrifice of small items seems universal. And they have Wish Trees where people hung cloths from Britain, especially Scotland, to the Dyaks to China; same principle.

( I doubt if there was a single starting people to do such things, just something that rises spontaneously where the same circumstances occur. )

But then something like this might happen.

The credits? Well, anyway, I pretty much just did clean-up on Stan Miller's initial translation pass (and I think there's still one or two chapters I've missed on that count), but you're welcome.

    Ai Amu Japaniizu
The Osarizawa mining site, Akita Prefecture...
Apparently, they used to get copper here long ago.
Why do you suppose everyone throws in coins like this when there's water around?
And this is how they sifted for it, huh.
There doesn't seem to be any advantage to it...
Japanese people have mysterious dispositions, don't they.
Well, I'll just toss in a ¥5 coin for now...
