    The Finnish use the swastika for different purposes than the nazis. It is for example the symbol of their air force and also -as can be seen here- their voluntary auxiliary paramilitary organisation for women, Lotta Svärd.

    It was the symbol of the air forces until the end of the WW2. Nowadays it's only a part of the emblem of the Air Force Academy. It's history with the Finnish Air Forces dates back to 1918 when the first airplane of the air forces was received from Sweden, and the symbol was painted on it by the Swedish nobleman who donated the plane.
