Too bad the series didn't show what was Almiria's fate after the time skip. We won't know if she did move on with her life or if something bad happened.

Well, given that she was already one step away from hentai-levels of mind-break after McGillis' betrayal had become public news, I figured the man she loved dying would've sent her over the edge and probably caused her to commit suicide or be committed.
