  • がんばれ小傘さん 2346

    なかなかおりこうさんなコンポだと思いたい!(笑)

    mp3の規格ができたような出来てないようなそんな時代のお話です。
    当時はCDからPCにデータを吸い出して聞くというのは、できなくはないけどHDD容量的にちょっとムリってかんじじゃなかったかな?
    ネットもダイアルアップ接続でしたしね!

    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 2346

I like to think it was a well behaved stereo system! :-)

This story is from a time when the mp3 standard wasn't quite solidified yet. At the time, it wasn't as if I couldn't pull data off a CD to my PC and listen to it, but I guess it felt like it might be asking a bit too much of my HDD's capacity? I even had a dial-up connection to the 'net!

It's either trolling him, or it's a tsukomogami that's trolling him.

Reader-added tags include "X68000", "Jaw-dropping and -shutting" ("(One's) open mouth closed,", parodying the phrase "(One's) open mouth wouldn't close", an idiom for "shocking/jaw-dropping"), and "Did we get you to see?" (Boilerplate phrase from paranormal phenomena shows, sort of a past-tense equivalent to "When you see it...")

The survey's both on and off the record:

    What era are you?
    • Vinyl records
    • Cassette tapes
    • CDs
    • MDs
    • Internet

    Good Kanako, I feel old.

We also still have a working record player (plus a sizable collection of vinyl records), so I might as well be way up there.

I wonder what kind of Tsukumogami that stereo system would turn into?

I also remember borrowing vinyl records from the library...

And that stereo would be one of the Prismriver's backup band, obviously.

It'll be a DJ, and there will be a music war between recorded and live music. Coming in 2018 - Touhou - Sonic Attack Duel.

Vinyl for me - I remember when CDs came out and the stores had both. I was just a kid then.

I seem to remember that years ago Shinto priests got together and decided that electronics cannot become tsukumogami.

    This device obviously disagrees.

    Really? What was their reasoning?

Cassette tapes here but I remember my grandfather's car had an 8-track player in it!

    Must Be Voice Recognition
The lid on the CD mounter would often pop open on its own.
    While working...
Yeesh...if you're going to open, then close, already!
    Huh?

Ages ago, I had something called an Audio Compo with a 26-CD changer. Pioneer XR-P5MD, XR-P6MD or XR-P7MD. To be precise, a 25+1-CD changer.
