    I really don't understand the rationale behind an ugly obtrusive signature/notice.

    The people wanting to pass it off as their own presumably have the skills to remove it; I applaud signing work, but a small discreet sig would be easier to prove since it could be overlooked by the forger.

    There actually is a small discrete signature in the bottom right. Why the choice to then add the other stamp confuses me as well.
