Nice to know... I had one japanese class and I try to read all the katakana/hiragana i see but "bui" had me confused to what it was.
Technically, Japanese text can use "ヴ" followed by a sutegana (ぁ, ぃ, ぅ, ぇ, ぉ) to represent the "v" sound. It is very common to see a "b" kana used for English loan words, though.
