In the KnNIverse, Makoto Shinkai never successfully transformed Yume to Shiriseba into Kimi no Na Wa., and his sixth major work remained a cult hit like all the rest before. He would not get his major mainstream breakthrough until his seventh, Keit-Ai, which he got to in this universe before 4chan did. Needless to say, all this hits more than a little close to home for poor Ayaka.
