Wouldn't work anyway. That dead glare got them leaking some fuel already. They need to stop that to continue the barrage.

If they'd just kill him before he can ring her, then the power up (marriage) won't work.

He can only glare bullets. They can sink him using real bullets and bombs. He's not Steven Seagal.

To thicken the plot, enemies will abduct and brainwash him after sensing his latent potential, becoming an Abyssal Admiral.

However, that's unlikely to happen in this series, I think.
