I agree. I'm a little sad he ended up being too suicidal to even fight back, I really liked him even though his design is pretty... unconventional. He had a cool personality and great potential, he could have reacted to the conflicts in later chapters in an interesting way.

the story writers might be struggled in developing conflicts more than a single-sided conspiracy, so the strong guys with leadership (a nasty word, yet...) were all murdered in the first two chapters, from the fat Togami in dangan2 to Ryouma and Rantaro in v3

anyway, basically anyone with the potential to disturb the major conspiracy in chapter 4&5, I think Yonaga Angie is also a victim for her proactive leadership (killed by accident when being arranged to leave the room and pick up the candle)
