So let me guess, the joke is that when she gets there to share her excess food with him (because of course it was with him, there are literally no other introduced characters to choose from), she winds up seeing something out of place, and ends up working on her whole day off.

Not intentionally, of course. She starts off fully clothed but then goes full Dojikko mode and ends up with just the apron and bento box.
