The novel illustrations and the manga aren't entirely identical, the manga being a little toned down in ecchiness. I'm only familiar with the manga, and compared to that her clothes cover less in this picture. But since the anime will be based on the novel, this might be more faithful.

Agreed, she looks better in the LN art. Personally I'm wondering if they are gonna tone down the ecchiness, actually I'm hoping they do....it's kinda unnecessarily over the top in places.

They won't, but that's because this isn't meant to be a super-serious or even half-serious series. It's supposed to be a guilty pleasure anime, AFAIK.

They HAVE to tone down the ecchiness from the original LN. Diablo straight-up fingerbangs Rem during "mana transfer" (which is described in terms of ejaculation on Diablo's part, and invariably involves whichever girl he's doing it with at the time climaxing, no matter what he was touching, but especially during the finger-banging one, Rem is described as orgasming several times) before she physically gives birth to Klem. (I was simply stunned at that point, and asking, "If they're going to go that far, why even have the PRETENSE that this isn't sex?") There's about a 0% chance they'll get that on the airwaves.

The stuff NWSiaCB mentioned was the ecchiness that I hope they tone down. Anime boobs are par for the course but seeing someone who is described in world as being 14 get molested repeatedly, especially the 'mana transfer' sequence, is utterly unnecessary. Hell he even does it to Klem and she is literally days old at that point.

Actually, she mana transfers to him (with equal apparent sexual connotation and him being "paralyzed by pleasure"), which admittedly stretches the metaphor out a little, but I think means he just got pegged by a toddler.
